The 24 Hour Project: Documenting a Full Day

Great occasions are often over-photographed while ordinary days disappear without a trace. The "24 hours" project consists of methodically photographing an ordinary family day from A to Z. These images, in twenty years, will become among the most precious of your family archives.

Start in the morning: the rituals of waking up

Waking up the children, having breakfast with the family, preparing the schoolbag, the first coffee of the day — these morning rituals are moments of daily tenderness that we end up forgetting. Photograph them without staging, in their touching banality.

The day: activities and transitions

Rides, errands, homework, extracurricular activities — the ordinary day is made up of these often unphotographed moments of transition. It is exactly their banality that will give them valuable documentary value, as would true family chronicles.

Evening Bedtime Rituals

Family dinner, children's bath, evening reading, hugging before sleep — these evening rituals are among the most intimate and precious moments of family life. Photographed in the warm light of the bedside lamp, they produce images of extraordinary softness, worthy of the most beautiful souvenir creations.

Assemble and tell the story of the day

After this day of photo documentation, select 20-30 photos that tell the story of the day chronologically. Assemble them into a digital mini-album or slideshow. Repeat this exercise once a year — the result will be a collection of extraordinary “ordinary days” across time.
